Possible Classic Mode
Classic Mode: CONQUEST!!
We've been discussing this for some time and thought I should post it to consider in the future.
- The name of the Classic Mode I planned is Conquest!!, where you battle various figures on their turf. It's more or less inspired by Smash Wii U's Classic Mode.
- During Conquest, you will lead your character on a map with select locations for a battle. Each area has a character in charge of it that you must defeat in order to conquer their stage. For example, if your first battle is in the Hakurei Shrine, you will fight Reimu. If it is at the Scarlet Devil Mansion, you will fight Remilia.
- However, while this is true for most of the stages, you may end up fighting an odd character who doesn't belong to any turf, though the chances of this will be a tad rare.
- This will continue for a few more stages until the end, where you will face the final boss.
- If we end up incorporating special prices like trophies or such, they can probably be rewarded to you when you beat each Conquest Match and the Final Boss.
As a reminder, this is but a "maybe", as we have other priorities. I just think it's a possibly neat thing to consider. In any case, feedback will be appreciated.

Re: Possible Classic Mode
A sort of "classic" or "arcade" mode would definitely help with the game, since not everyone has people to play with. I'm not sure if the map should work exactly like Sm4sh on Wii U's though, since it's super distinctive and we don't want to be a complete rip-off. I guess you could say that we shouldn't copy the "drag a trophy across a table" thing, or at least we could disguise it as the characters running on a fairly realistic map or something.
An All-Star Mode could also be fairly easy to program in, I think. Having the characters get fought in the order of their debut could easily work for that since we're skipping all over the games with our roster. We'd need to figure out what we would need for healing items though, and if there's a reward for completing it what the reward could be. (My vote is for alternate costumes.)

Yeah, the latter bit was more of what I had in mind. Kinda like how the 3DS version works, but the character is running toward a set location without any diverging paths.
